Parent Voice: Celebrating Positive Feedback

At Simpson’s Lane Primary Academy, we believe that a strong partnership between school and home is key to creating the best possible learning environment for our children. That’s why we value the feedback we receive from our parents and carers – it helps us to grow, improve, and celebrate what makes our school special.

Recently, we gathered insights from our Parent Voice initiative, and we are thrilled to share the positive feedback we received.

Our staff members are the heart of our school, and it’s clear that parents appreciate their hard work and dedication. Parents described our team as “helpful, friendly, and always going above and beyond” to support both children and families. Individual mentions included the outstanding leadership of our Head of Academy and the exceptional interactions from teachers, with special recognition for Miss Dixon and Mr. Colley!

Maintaining an open and transparent relationship with parents is a priority for us. Feedback highlighted how well we keep parents informed about their child’s progress and behaviour, with comments like “excellent communication between school and parents” and “newsletters are great to keep us up to date.” We will continue to ensure that parents feel informed and involved in their child’s educational journey.

One of our core values is ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive. Parents acknowledged this by saying “everybody is treated equally” and that “children are given the same opportunity to reach their full potential, no matter their background, race, or disability.” We take great pride in fostering an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Learning at Simpson’s Lane goes beyond the classroom! Parents praised the wide range of activities and clubs available to students, all offered free of charge. They also highlighted special experiences such as “bouncy castles” and “lots of events going on,” which create memorable moments for our children.

Parents shared their appreciation for our focus on student wellbeing and personalised support. Comments such as “support given to children is amazing” and “SEND access, including Thrive and Lego Therapy, is fantastic” reflect our dedication to ensuring every child receives the care and guidance they need to flourish.
