It was so lovely to have parents join us for our first Stay and Read in the new school library. All the children were very excited to show their parents around this exciting new environment, the expressions on faces and the engagement in the stories was wonderful. Everyone was able to talk about the stories they had shared as well as explaining to their parents who all the different characters were in the library. The parents were also very impressed and made some great comments, ‘What a wonderful and inspiring space to encourage our children to read’ ‘I would have loved this space as a child, the children are so lucky’. We are planning to make the Stay and Reads a regular part of our timetable and are so proud of this fantastic environment.
