As part of EY’s summer curriculum, the children are learning about people who help us and finding out more about the jobs of these important people. We enjoyed a visit from four, friendly firefighters and their fire engine on Friday and we were very lucky to get a real taste of what it might be like to be a fire fighter when we grow up! We each got the chance to spray the hose – it was so heavy, and the water was very fast and strong! We also got to sit in the cabin of the fire truck and try on the big yellow hats. We heard the siren – which was so loud! Finally, we were given the chance to see some of the tools the fire fighters use when they go to road traffic accidents or other dangerous situations. We learnt lots and it was great fun!
