6SW had an amazing time exploring the new EYFS/ KS1 library and reading to the children in Nursery – they keep asking when we’ll be doing it again! We discussed different types of books; what we liked about stories and why; answered Reading questions and researched an author to create a biography in a few weeks! We also decided to include World Book Day in the rest of the week by basing our Writing on The Day the Crayons Quit and imitated a letter of our own as a chair quitting its job! We also had a book tasting week in Reading with a new book every day.
